Ellie, William’s service dog-in-training, has her own perspective on the going’s-on at Rees Harps. As the official Rees Harps Enthusiasm Coordinator, you can count on Ellie to be in the middle of everything with something funny to say. Unfortunately, Mew, one of the Rees Harps cats, has Ellie’s blog password so occasionally, Mew provides what she believes to be the necessary counterweight. Missing Pamela

Dreaming of Pamela coming home…

Dreaming of Pamela coming home…

Pamela has been gone a while. I’m not sure where she went, but I miss her. Things just aren’t right. I wake up in the morning and every day I run to see if Pamela has come home, but every day I find that she is still gone. What is a pup to do? I really really miss her. Sometimes, I will lay on my bed and I dream that she walks through the door. Those are such wonderfully happy dreams. It has definitely been making my job more difficult—it’s really hard too keep everyone enthusiastic when someone from my pack is missing!

I do look forward to when Pamela calls, though. Whenever William’s phone rings, I can just sense that it is Pamela and I run over to give the phone a kiss. (She can feel my kiss, right???) Well, today Pamela called to tell me she was bringing a new friend back home for me! I’m so excited! Pamela tells me he is a California Condor and that he is special because California Condors were almost extinct! They have quite an amazing story: they were severely endangered and the few that were still alive were living in captivity for years! Eventually, they were reintroduced back into the wild at Zion National Park. Now, while they are still endangered, they are thriving much more than before.

So, I’d like to introduce you to my new friend, Jerry! He and I will be the best of friends. Now I have another reason to eagerly wait for Pamela to come home.

Woof!
